Amazon Prime Video Releases Revolutionary New Series ‘Buffering: The Show’ — Entire Season Consists of Loading Screens

SEATTLE, WA — In a bold step for streaming innovation, Amazon Prime Video has announced its most ambitious series yet: ‘Buffering: The Show,’ a ten-episode psychological thriller consisting entirely of scenes of a spinning circle and the word ‘Loading…’ in varying fonts.

Executive producer Chad Wexler describes it as “a genre-defying opera of digital anticipation, perfectly capturing the existential dread of modern streaming.” Wexler added, “We wanted viewers to connect with that primal feeling of wondering if the show will ever start. Turns out, it never does.”

Early reviews are mixed. “I binged the whole season in six hours and honestly felt seen,” shared Mary Goldstein, a Seattle resident who watched three episodes before realizing her Wi-Fi was down. “The tension in episode four, when the buffering bar moves by one pixel, is just next level.”

As part of a cross-promotional campaign, Amazon Alexa devices now whisper cryptic lines from the show every time you ask to play Cocomelon. “We’re blurring the line between fiction and reality,” explained head of content Milo Drummond. “We want viewers to feel frustration in their homes, not just on their screens.”

Despite mixed reactions, ‘Buffering: The Show’ has already been renewed for two more seasons. Merch sold out instantly, including a premium $149.99 t-shirt that says, ‘Please Wait…’ in Comic Sans.
