LONDON — Pop sensation Harry Styles has announced that his highly anticipated Netflix concert film will feature extensive footage of himself passionately kissing his microphone, in what industry insiders are already describing as “the most sensual auditory experience since ASMR became a thing.”
The concert, filmed during Styles’ first live performance in Manchester in nearly three years, is set to stream worldwide on Netflix this Sunday at 7 p.m. as part of the rollout for his new album, ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.’ According to Styles, the film will feature a groundbreaking approach: “I wanted fans to really feel the music, so for a while I just snog the mic. That’s music, innit?”
Netflix marketing chief Angela Donnelly hailed the film as a “disruptive paradigm shift in concert entertainment,” confirming the special will devote “no less than 26 minutes to close-ups of Harry’s lips gently caressing electrical equipment, with a brief disco interlude if he remembers.”
Longtime Styles fan Roberta Fennel, 47, expressed excitement: “I’m buying surround sound just to hear the salivary detail. This is modern art.”
Meanwhile, audio engineer Carl Underwood shared his concerns: “We had to replace five microphones. They shorted out from all the moisture, but you can’t argue with art.”
The film will also reportedly feature a bonus segment titled “Harry Styles Sits Quietly, Occasionally Winking at Camera,” to be released on Netflix Kids.
