Roblox Unveils ‘Real-Time Dreaming’ Feature, Promises Children Can Now Be Disappointed by AI in Seconds

SAN MATEO, CA—In their ongoing quest to turn human imagination into slightly blockier human imagination, Roblox announced Tuesday the launch of ‘real-time dreaming,’ a feature that reportedly allows creators to generate, modify, and instantly regret entire worlds using AI prompts that respond faster than parents’ hopes for their kids’ online safety.

‘This breakthrough enables a child to envision a towering, glistening castle, type it in, and watch the AI reward them with a vaguely castle-adjacent grey blob—all in less than three seconds,’ said lead developer Serena qBot, who insists the tool is already revolutionizing the field of digital disappointment. ‘It’s like lucid dreaming, except you wake up and still have to buy Robux.’

Competing tech companies are reportedly scrambling to catch up. Google recently unveiled Project Genie, but Roblox assures users its system will generate ‘100% more impromptu lava pits and accidental phallic shapes.’ According to Roblox VP of AI Invention Jaxxon Pixelshifter, ‘Our patented AI draws on over a decade of user-generated chaos. If you can dream it, our AI can almost—but not quite—recreate it.’

Some creators remain skeptical. Famed nine-year-old builder and current Roblox tycoon, Dax ‘DXDestroyer’ Simmons, told reporters, ‘I asked for a dragon and got a six-foot lizard in a hoodie. Still better than when I tried Bing.’

While critics warn of AI replacing human creativity, Roblox reassures parents that their kids will still learn vital skills: patience, disappointment, and the fine art of accidentally deleting their own work at lightning speed.
