Demi Moore to Play Knife-Wielding Sous Chef With Dark Past in Amazon MGM’s ‘Tyrant,’ Film Industry Considers Michelin Stars for Acting

LOS ANGELES—In a move insiders are calling ‘absolutely necessary for the future of film,’ Demi Moore has officially joined Charlize Theron and Julia Garner in Amazon MGM’s upcoming culinary thriller ‘Tyrant,’ a movie aiming to answer the age-old question: how many dramatic monologues can be delivered over sous-vide salmon?

Set deep in the cutthroat world of New York City’s elite fine dining scene, ‘Tyrant’ will reportedly feature Moore as Simone Renaud, a haunted sous chef with a dark past and an even darker experience with overcooked risotto. Sources say Moore spent upwards of 14 minutes watching ‘Top Chef’ clips on YouTube to prepare for the role, a commitment producers describe as ‘method adjacent.’

“This is the Scorsese of salmon tartare,” boasted director Lars Van Pelt, best known for his avant-garde salad bar commercials. “We’re combining the tension of ‘Uncut Gems’ with the existential terror of a Michelin inspector vomiting in the foyer.”

Co-star Julia Garner revealed the film’s stakes: “I had to learn how to julienne an onion at gunpoint. That’s real adrenaline. Demi threatened to flambe my eyebrows. Method acting is back.”

Meanwhile, celebrity chef and consultant Guy Fieri expressed excitement: “We’re putting the ‘flavortown’ in psychological breakdowns. Audiences aren’t ready for these brutal beurre blancs.”

‘Tyrant’ is slated for release in 2025, with early Oscar buzz already being served alongside a complimentary amuse-bouche.
