DALLAS—In what media analysts are calling “the most anticipated dive into domestic negotiations since the Clinton tapes,” food influencer Keith Lee announced Thursday that he will peel back the curtain on his family’s secretive business dealings via a new Vox Media podcast, “Table Stakes With the Lees.” The show promises weekly, unfiltered access to such high-stakes debates as who gets the front seat, whether leftovers count as meal prep, and the mysterious vanishing of the family’s emergency Pop-Tart stash.
“Fans have seen my reviews of brisket tacos and vegan donuts, but until now, no one knows how we collectively decide who has to answer the door for Uber Eats,” Lee said over a plate of cold spaghetti. “It’s time they learned the truth.”
According to sources inside the Lee household, the podcast will include never-before-heard audio of family marketing summits, tactical fridge raids, and the controversial 2023 vote that officially outlawed using Mom’s potholders as phone stands. “I just want America to see the complex bureaucracy required to split a 12-piece bucket four ways,” added Lee’s younger sister, Destiny, who is rumored to be the family’s chief negotiator in soda rationing disputes.
Early buzz has food world insiders salivating. “Keith is bravely tackling the hardest question in food media: Is it stealing if it’s in the communal snack drawer?” said Dr. Harold Gumption, Vox’s Senior Podcast Visionary. “We expect this podcast to revolutionize the industry—one reheated pizza slice at a time.”
The show is set to premiere next week, followed by a companion TikTok series, “Who Ate My Fries: The Aftermath.”
