Area Pipe Bomb Enthusiast Claims Retroactive ‘Get Out Of Jail Free’ Card From Trump Covers Literally Anything Now

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a bold legal maneuver that experts are calling ‘unprecedented’ and ‘maybe worth a shot?’, accused pipe bomber Dale Henson filed a motion Monday arguing that President Trump’s Jan. 6 blanket pardon applies retroactively to “any and all acts of bad vibes taken to own the libs,” including, but not limited to, planting explosive devices near the RNC and DNC.

Henson’s legal team, sporting matching ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ neckties, cited Trump’s infamous Jan. 6 Tweet, “You’re all very special. Go home in peace,” as clear evidence of universal immunity. “If you read between the lines, and also the margins, and a couple of tweets from his sons, it’s obvious that I, too, am covered,” Henson wrote in his handwritten motion, which includes a detailed illustration of him high-fiving a bald eagle.

Legal scholar Trent McElroy said, “I support interpreting presidential pardons broadly, but even I was surprised when Henson cited a coupon for ‘One Free Crime’ he found in a box of Trump Steaks as legal precedent.”

RNC spokesperson Cindy Brewster responded, “While we appreciate Mr. Henson’s creativity, attempted bombing unfortunately remains outside of our core values, which are limited to normal, non-explosive disruptions.”

Asked for comment, Trump surrogate Rudy Wartman told reporters, “If the pardon doesn’t fit, you must acquit. That’s not just law, that’s television history.” Wartman proceeded to offer everyone a free sample of what he described as “totally legal” fireworks.

At press time, the judge was reportedly reviewing the case while muttering, “Well, it’s not the dumbest thing I’ve seen this week.”
