In a historic move sure to echo through the marble corridors of every airport Chili’s, the Palm Beach International Airport was officially rechristened “Trump Presidential Airport” on Monday, becoming the first airport named after a sitting president who also happens to reside within taxiing distance.

The Trump Organization insists it will receive “absolutely zero royalties—except perhaps for the intangible payment of public adoration,” though legal experts note the arrival of an on-site Trump-branded steakhouse, casino, and pop-up court hearing room might create what they call “naming adjacent revenue opportunities.”

Local officials hope the renaming will boost tourism, or at least encourage 737s to tweet more often. “We anticipate a 200% increase in private jet landings, and a 500% increase in unsolicited advice from men in red hats,” said airport director Linda Gable. “We’ve already had 12 requests to host presidential motorcades on our tarmac—by the same guy.”

Travelers should expect improvements. “Every boarding gate will now have its own chandelier, and the baggage claim will be replaced by a rotating trophy display,” explained newly appointed Head of Aviation Experience, Rex Donnington. “Also, security will be replaced by beauty pageant judges. It’s part of the Trump Touch.”

Not all locals are impressed. “The line for the Dunkin’ is now half Proud Boys, half Mar-a-Lago members,” complained Palm Beach resident Evelyn Parkhurst. “On the bright side, the flight delays now come with five-course meals and impeachment commemorative coins.”

Sources indicate future amenities may include a wall separating First Class from Economy and an annual airport-wide recount of all passengers. No word yet on whether the TSA will be replaced by a reality show.
