In a candid appearance on ‘The View,’ former First Lady Jill Biden shocked the nation by revealing that President Joe Biden’s strategy for a potential second term largely came down to eating more oatmeal and ‘just seeing what happens.’
Asked about how her husband would have handled the rigors of another four years while managing a cancer diagnosis, Mrs. Biden replied, ‘Honestly, our main plan was increased fiber and a hope that the country wouldn’t notice if Joe took more naps.’ She added that a family contingency plan involved ‘shuffling important papers around the Oval Office to create the illusion of busyness.’
Sources close to the Biden family detailed additional tactics. ‘There was talk of equipping the White House with a motorized La-Z-Boy so President Biden could attend state dinners without ever standing up,’ said longtime aide Marjorie Whistleton. ‘We even considered appointing a Vice President whose only job was to carry a thermos of chamomile tea.’
When asked about the president’s ability to recall world leaders’ names, one White House staffer confessed, ‘We started putting everyone’s name on sticky notes, but after he kept calling Angela Merkel ‘Grandma,’ we pivoted to color-coded hats.’
Political analyst Dirk Hummus summarized the nation’s feeling: ‘Given the options, increased oatmeal consumption was probably the only feasible executive policy left.’
At press time, Jill Biden was reportedly reviewing medical journals to see if applesauce could further extend presidential stamina.
