In a landmark decision Tuesday, the New York State Health Board unanimously designated Rosie O’Donnell as an official medical trigger warning for former President Donald Trump, after claims surfaced that merely her existence can induce a “PTSD response” in the ex-Commander-in-Chief.
According to O’Donnell, the Trump-triggering properties are rooted in their shared New York DNA. “You can’t step foot in Times Square without feeling that Rosie tension in the air,” O’Donnell explained during a press conference held outside the Port Authority bathroom. “It’s science. I studied it at the Coney Island Psychic School.”
Medical professionals have been quick to adapt. Dr. Arnold Sphinkter, head psychologist at Bellevue Hospital, confirmed new precautions: “We’ve installed ‘Rosie Alert’ sirens in every Trump property lobby. If a Roseanne rerun or Broadway musical starring Rosie is on TV, Trump staff are required to shield his eyes with gold-plated sunglasses.”
The Trump camp remains divided. “We’re rolling out ‘Rosie Evacuation Drills’ at Mar-a-Lago,” said assistant manager Chip Belvedere. “If someone shouts ‘O’Donnell!’ we all hide under the breakfast buffet and pray for the best.”
Meanwhile, the CDC has added an official page on “Rosie-Induced Trauma Syndrome,” warning, “Symptoms include anger-tweeting, involuntary hair movement, and an inexplicable craving for New York-style pizza.”
Governor Kathy Hochul reportedly plans to honor O’Donnell with a “Shaker of the Republic” medal, citing her “unmatched ability to trigger critical national conversations and at least one presidential heartburn episode.”
