MIAMI GARDENS, FL—In what authorities are calling “the greatest act of YouTube bravery since someone ate seventeen raw onions,” two Argentine social media influencers were arrested Sunday after allegedly bypassing security at the World Cup match in Hard Rock Stadium using credentials downloaded directly from Google Images.
According to police, the masterminds—Ramiro “El Falso” Gutierrez and Juan Pablo “El Despistado” Molina—successfully strode past three layers of security, a metal detector, and one very distracted hot dog vendor by brandishing “Official FIFA Passes” printed on the backs of empanada wrappers. “Nobody even glanced at the badges,” Gutierrez allegedly bragged during interrogation, “One guard just asked if we had extra ketchup.”
FIFA security spokesperson Greta Schmid downplayed the breach, stating: “It’s not like they made it onto the field. They only got as far as the luxury suites, the locker room, and briefly announced substitutions over the stadium PA system.”
Molina later told authorities he was shocked by what he saw. “I thought there would be secret rituals or maybe a halftime unicorn. Turns out it’s just a bunch of sweaty guys running around. If I’d known, I’d have snuck into a Taylor Swift concert instead.”
Legal experts say the duo faces serious charges, although influencer ethics professor Dr. Reinhardt Yamm declared: “Given that their video hit two million views, I’d say that’s a fair trade for 10 years in federal prison.”
Security has since been tightened at the stadium, with officials now requiring all passholders to name at least three members of the 1998 Croatian national team before being allowed through.
