In what experts are calling ‘the biggest scandal to hit the fan community since the Vuvuzela Incident of 2010,’ German football superfan Freddy Reitermann faces severe backlash for booking an extended stay in the United States, despite having—brace yourselves—visited America before.

Freddy, whose Instagram bio boasts ‘Wurst, Fußball, und Freedom Fries,’ recently went viral for purchasing non-refundable tickets to every 2026 FIFA World Cup match, even after Germany’s early exit. But the internet has now uncovered the shocking truth: Freddy’s passport contains stamps from previous U.S. visits, including an ill-fated 2018 road trip to Dollywood and a 2022 layover in Cleveland.

“Frankly, it’s a slap in the face to authentic fandom,” said influencer Kylie ‘SoccerMom420’ Jenkins, who has never left her home state of Nebraska. “Real fans should only enter America for the FIRST time when their team is mathematically eliminated. Anything else is performative.”
